THE SPECTACULAR LAKE
Close to Kankroli is the dam built by Maharana Raj Singh in 1660 AD. Many
embellishing arches and magnificent 'chhatris' adorn the embankment.
Sixty-five kms from Udaipur, it is arguably the
most beautiful lake in Rajasthan. There are beautiful 'torans', gardens
and carved 'chhatris' around the lake. The sunset at the lake is
absolutely splendid.
LAKES
Rajsamand Lake: It is the royal lake, offering a spectacular view
of the sunset, with artistic torans and chhatris
adorning its embankment.
OTHERS
The Rest House: The rest house has a beautifully laid out garden
interspersed with exquisite sculptures excavated from the ruins nearby.
TEMPLES
Kankroli: An important Vaishnava temple popularly called Dwarkadhish
is located here. It is the most important temple of the Vallabhacharya
sect, built to resemble the famous Nathdwara shrine.
FORTS
Kumbhalgarh Fort:
