of Jaisalmer and the artificial lake as well
as dam provide a panoramic backdrop to its surroundings. When in
Udaipur, do not forget to visit the Saheliyon
Ki Bari, meaning the "Maids of Honour" and Gulab Bagh or the "Rose
Garden". Situated 9-kms from Jodhpur is
Mandore, the erstwhile capital of Marwar. It now houses the cenotaphs,
which are situated in the midst of a beautifully laid out Mandore Gardens.
